MEDIA ADVISORY: Here for America ‘Drive-In’

American auto workers from across the country, along with Senator Doug Jones (D-AL), Congressman Drew Ferguson (R- GA) and Congresswoman Jackie Walorski (R-IN), will be holding a ‘Drive-In’ to showcase how tariffs will negatively impact U.S. auto manufacturing. Employees from several international auto companies will ‘Drive-In’ to the U.S. Capitol in vehicles they built themselves. Lawmakers will join employees from high auto-production states like Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and South Carolina, to share their stories on how important international automakers are in their communities and to the U.S. economy.

PRESS CONFERENCE:

Employees representing international automakers will be joined by Members of Congress to discuss the harm to the U.S. auto industry that will be caused by the proposed Section 232 tariffs on auto and auto parts imports.

WHERE: The House Triangle — United States Capitol

WHEN: Thursday, July 19th at 9:00AM to 9:45AM

WHAT: 

American auto workers will arrive at the House Triangle in vehicles they make here in the United States for a press conference. They will be joined by Members of Congress to share the impact of tariffs on the U.S. auto manufacturing.

Capture a great visual of auto workers arriving at the Capitol in vehicles they build at the First Street bus pull in across from Library of Congress intersection at 8:00AM ahead of the press conference.
