Here for America Reacts to U.S.-Japan Trade Talks

WASHINGTON, D.C., September 26, 2018  –  Statement by John Bozzella, President and CEO of Global Automakers and spokesperson for Here For America:

“International automakers agree with today’s affirmation by President Trump and Prime Minister Abe on the importance of maintaining a strong, stable, and mutually beneficial trade relationship between the U.S. and Japan.  We are pleased that the threat of auto tariffs has been set aside during the negotiations.  Tariffs are taxes on consumers and should not be considered now or in the future.”
