Here For America is dedicated to the growth and success of the U.S. auto industry. We represent the U.S. operations of international motor vehicle manufacturers, and the interests of original equipment suppliers, and other automotive-related trade associations.
Here For America members have invested $88 billion in U.S.-based production facilities, produced nearly 5 million vehicles last year, and directly employ 137,000 Americans and support more than 2.58 million U.S. jobs. The Association collaborates with executive branch officials and elected leaders at the state and federal level to educate and advocate for policies that support open trade and investment to encourage a healthy, globally competitive U.S. auto industry.
Today’s entry into force of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) starts the next chapter in this important trilateral trading relationship and we will continue to work with all stakeholders as our members navigate the compliance complexities of this new agreement.”
As auto and auto parts plants across the country reopen and Americans begin returning to work, the auto industry is making slow but steady progress toward recovery. Here For America is therefore deeply disappointed by reports that the Administration is considering new tariffs on aluminum imports from Canada.
